Specialist works delivered in a live infrastructure setting

Located over the River Wey, Shalford, the pipe bridge supports 1no 12” IP Gas Main and 2no 12” Water Mains. Due to the location of the bridge, access was only possible via pontoon. All materials, plant and equipment were moved to the work location via a pontoon. The bridge, a steel truss structure, along with the 3 mains, was fully blasted to SA2.5 and new coatings applied to GIS/PA10. New pipe supports were fabricated and installed to the gas main, replacing the old rotten wooden support blocks.
